Welcome to the Atomage magazine appreciation site, the site contains detailed information on the publications and history of the world famous Atomage Leather Couture company run by the legendary John Sutcliffe from the 1950's to the late 1980's.

In 1977 a film was produced which borrowed the title "Dressing For Pleasure" from the section of the same name in the Atomage magazines. The film features John Sutcliffe (the owner of Atomage) talking about the clothes produced by his Atomage company. This film has recently been made available on the internet and is essential viewing for anyone interested in Atomage and the leather, rubber and vinyl fashions of the 1970's.

We therefore recommend that you view this film and the other excellent films from avant garde underground film maker John Samson (1946-2004) : Tattoo, Britainnia, Arrows and Skin Horse all of which we can thoroughly recommend.
